Pokémon GO players can look forward to the upcoming event titled "GO Battle League: Delightful Days," which is set to enhance the competitive spirit within the game. Scheduled to commence on June 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM PDT (GMT -7), this new season promises fresh experiences and rewards for trainers of all levels.

What to Expect at the Start of the Season

As the new season kicks off, trainers should be aware of several significant changes and updates. First and foremost, end-of-season rewards will become available on the Battle screen, allowing players to claim their hard-earned prizes. Additionally, each trainer’s GO Battle League rank will reset, providing a fresh start and an opportunity to climb the ranks once again. The criteria for ranking up, however, will remain consistent with those established in the previous season, ensuring a familiar progression system.

GO Battle League Schedule

Throughout this season, various leagues will be available, each with specific time frames and rules. Here’s the schedule for the upcoming battles:

  • June 3 – June 10: Great League and Sunshine Cup (Great League Edition)
  • June 10 – June 17: Ultra League and Fossil Cup (Great League Edition)
  • June 17 – June 24: Master League and Summer Cup (Ultra League Edition)
  • June 24 – July 1: Great League, Ultra League, and Master League
  • July 1 – July 8: Great League and Element Cup (Little Edition)
  • July 8 – July 15: Ultra League and Hisui Cup (Great League Edition)

  • July 22 – July 29: Great League, Ultra League, and Master League

Each league will feature unique rules, allowing trainers to utilize specific Pokémon types and strategies. Players should prepare to adapt their teams according to the league they are participating in.

Delightful Days Event Bonuses

During the GO Battle Weekend, held from August 15, 2025, at 12:00 AM to August 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM local time, trainers can take advantage of several exciting bonuses:

  • 4× Stardust from win rewards (note that this does not apply to end-of-set rewards).
  • An increase in the maximum number of sets playable per day, rising from five to twenty, allowing for a total of 100 battles within the designated timeframe.
  • A free battle-themed Timed Research will be available, with rewards including shoes inspired by Battle Tower champions for your avatar.
  • Pokémon caught via GO Battle League rewards will feature a broader range of Attack, Defense, and HP stats, adding an element of surprise to encounters.

Exclusive Rewards and Encounters

One of the highlights of the GO Battle League: Delightful Days is the opportunity to encounter various Pokémon as rewards. Trainers can look forward to guaranteed encounters with specific Pokémon at designated ranks:

  • Mienfoo
  • Vullaby
  • Morpeko
  • Frigibax
  • Dreepy
  • Pikachu Libre

Trainers may also be fortunate enough to find Shiny variants of these Pokémon during their encounters.

In addition, standard encounters will include a range of Pokémon throughout the season, such as:

  • Bunnelby
  • Skorupi
  • Barboach
  • Feebas
  • Inkay

For trainers who are passionate about battling, a special Timed Research Pass will be available for free in the game shop once the event begins. This unique research will track victories throughout the season, with each page requiring 100 wins to complete. Completing these pages will grant trainers Stardust and items, including Rare Candy XL, an Elite Fast TM (after 400 wins), and an Elite Charged TM (after 500 wins). This initiative encourages players to dive deep into the competitive landscape of Pokémon battles.

Avatar Items and Rewards

Players can earn exclusive avatar items inspired by powerful Battle Tower characters from the Pokémon Sword and Shield games throughout the season. Rewards based on rank include:

  • Ace Rank: Battle Tower Leon-Style Boots
  • Veteran Rank: Battle Tower Leon-Style Pants
  • Expert Rank: Battle Tower Leon-Style Top
  • Legend Rank: Battle Tower Leon-Style Pose

Special Cups and Rules

This season will feature a variety of themed cups, each with specific rules regarding eligible Pokémon:

  1. Sunshine Cup (Great League Edition): Pokémon must have a CP of 1,500 or below, with only Normal-, Fire-, Grass-, and Ground-types allowed.
  2. Fossil Cup (Great League Edition): Pokémon are restricted to Water-, Rock-, and Steel-types, also with a CP limit of 1,500.
  3. Summer Cup (Ultra League Edition): Only Pokémon with a CP of 2,500 or below and types including Normal-, Fire-, Water-, Grass-, Electric-, and Bug-types are eligible.
  4. Element Cup (Little Edition): This cup permits Pokémon with a CP of 500 or below, focusing solely on Fire-, Water-, and Grass-types, and only those capable of evolving.
  5. Hisui Cup (Great League Edition): Trainers can use Pokémon from the Hisui region or those numbered between #387 and #493, adhering to the 1,500 CP cap.
  6. Catch Cup (Delightful Days Edition): This cup allows only Pokémon caught during the Delightful Days season, with a CP limit of 1,500.
