Mark your calendars for the weekend of July 5 and July 6, 2025, as Pokémon GO celebrates the July Community Day Classic! From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time on both days, Eevee, known as the Evolution Pokémon, will take center stage in this two-day event.
During this Community Day Classic, trainers will notice an increased frequency of Eevee appearing in the wild. If luck is on your side, you might even come across a Shiny Eevee!
Special Evolutions and Attacks
Eevee’s evolutions will also be significant during this event. If you evolve an Eevee into its various forms between the start of the Community Day Classic and 10:00 PM local time on July 12, the Pokémon will learn a unique charged attack. Here’s the breakdown of the featured attacks for each evolution:
- Vaporeon: Charged Attack – Scald
- Jolteon: Charged Attack – Zap Cannon
- Flareon: Charged Attack – Superpower
- Espeon: Charged Attack – Shadow Ball
- Umbreon: Charged Attack – Psychic
- Leafeon: Fast Attack – Bullet Seed
- Glaceon: Charged Attack – Water Pulse
- Sylveon: Charged Attack – Psyshock

Special Research and Rewards
For a fee of US$1.99 (or the equivalent in your local currency), trainers can access an exclusive Special Research event tied to the Eevee Community Day Classic from July 5 at 2:00 PM to July 6 at 5:00 PM. Completing this research will grant various rewards, including a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, additional encounters with Eevee and its evolutions, and three encounters featuring Eevee with a Delightful Days special background.
Tickets can also be purchased as gifts for friends who have reached a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Just remember that once gifted, the ticket cannot be refunded, and it won’t include an in-game medal or story component.
Timed Research and Event Bonuses
To keep the excitement rolling, a Timed Research opportunity will be available for a week following the Community Day Classic. Trainers logging in during the event will receive tasks that lead to encounters with a special Eevee, again featuring the Delightful Days background. Plus, you’ll have an increased chance to find Shiny Eevee during these tasks!
In addition to the special research, trainers will enjoy several bonuses during the event:
- Evolving Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon requires only a 1 km walk with Eevee as your buddy.
- Evolving Eevee into Sylveon requires earning seven hearts as its buddy.
- Lure modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will also last for three hours.
- Trainers can take snapshots during the event for a surprise encounter!
Be sure to complete the tasks associated with the Timed Research before it expires on July 12 at 10:00 PM local time.
Field Research and Community Engagement
As part of the July Community Day Classic, themed Field Research tasks will be available. Completing these tasks will allow you to catch Eevee and earn rewards such as Stardust and Great Balls. There’s even a chance to find Field Research that leads to delightful encounters with Eevee sporting the special background.

Community Day Map and Finding Fellow Trainers
For trainers looking to connect with others during Community Day, Pokémon GO has introduced a Community Day map. This tool helps you find local events and meetups, including those organized by Community Ambassadors who receive support from Niantic. Even if there aren’t any ambassadors in your area, you can use the Campfire feature to find other trainers to trade, battle, or raid with during Community Day.

August Community Day Voting: Choose Your Pokémon!
Looking ahead, Pokémon GO is reintroducing the exciting opportunity for trainers to vote for their favorite Pokémon for the August Community Day. Voting will take place from June 7 at 6:00 PM PDT until June 8 at 6:00 PM PDT. Trainers can cast their votes via the official Pokémon GO YouTube channel, and the Pokémon with the most votes will be featured on August Community Day, scheduled for August 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM local time.
