Serene Retreat: A Summer Adventure
Mark your calendars for the Serene Retreat, running from May 30 at 10:00 a.m. to June 3, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event promises a delightful experience filled with unique Pokémon encounters.
Wild Encounters
During the Serene Retreat, various Pokémon will be more commonly found in the wild. Look out for:
- Chansey
- Marill
- Furfrou
- Cutiefly
- Morelull
- Komala
- Hatenna
Some lucky Trainers may even have the chance to encounter:
- Snorlax
- Chimecho
If you’re fortunate, you might spot a shiny version of these Pokémon too!
Egg Hatches
Egg hatching is always an exciting aspect of Pokémon GO. During this event, you can hatch the following Pokémon from 2 km Eggs:
- Chingling
- Munna
- Spritzee
- Swirlix
Again, keep your fingers crossed for shiny possibilities!
Gigantamax Debut
The event will also feature the Gigantamax Rillaboom, making its debut in six-star Max Battles from May 31 at 6:00 a.m. to June 1, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time. Make sure you’re ready to take on this challenge!
Collection Challenges
Trainers can participate in themed Collection Challenges throughout the event to earn various rewards, including special encounters.
Event Bonuses
From May 30 at 10:00 a.m. to June 3 at 8:00 p.m. local time, several bonuses will enhance your gameplay experience:
- 1/2 Hatch Distance: Hatching Pokémon will be quicker!
- 1.5× Hatch XP: Earn more experience points from hatching eggs.
- Max Particle Collection Limit Increased: Now up to 1,600.
- 8× Max Particles from Power Spots: Get ready for a particle bonanza!
- Increased likelihood of hatching or encountering shiny Munna and Morelull in research task rewards.
Trainers holding a Serene Retreat ticket will receive additional bonuses as well!
Field Research Task Encounters
Completing specific Field Research tasks will allow Trainers to encounter:
- Munna
- Cutiefly
- Morelull
- Komala
- Hatenna
And yes, shiny versions might be hiding there too!
Paid Timed Research
For $1.99 (or the local currency equivalent), Trainers can access Timed Research focused on exploration and capturing Pokémon. This research includes:
- Encounters with Munna
- Encounters with Morelull
- Two Super Incubators
Keep in mind: tasks must be completed and rewards claimed by June 3, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Tickets can be purchased as gifts for Pokémon GO friends who are at least Great Friends. However, note that all purchases are non-refundable.
Instrumental Wonders: A New Challenge Awaits
Following the Serene Retreat, the Instrumental Wonders event will take place from June 7 at 10:00 a.m. to June 11, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event promises to be equally thrilling!

From June 7 at 6:00 a.m. to June 8, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time, Trainers can challenge the Gigantamax Cinderace in six-star Max Battles.
Bonuses for Trainers
During the Instrumental Wonders event, players will benefit from bonuses such as:
- An additional 5,000 XP for successful raids
- Increased Max Particle collection limit
- Enhanced shiny encounter rates for Ferroseed and Falinks
Field Research Task Encounters
Completing specific Field Research tasks will also allow encounters with:
- Meowth
- Chimecho
- Ferroseed
- Falinks
Paid Timed Research
For $1.99, Trainers can engage in Timed Research focused on exploration, with rewards including:
- Encounters with Ferroseed

- Five Premium Battle Passes
