DeNA is consistently enhancing the Pokémon Masters EX experience by introducing new events and features. This ongoing commitment aims to keep players engaged and excited about the game. Let’s dive into the latest updates, including new story events and Sync Pairs set to debut.
Exciting Story Events Await
One of the most anticipated additions is the Story Event: High-Flying Seaside Holiday, launching on June 29, 2025. This event centers on beloved characters Dawn and Skyla, who are concerned for their friend Cynthia, who has been tirelessly working. To help her unwind, they plan a getaway to Lear’s exclusive beach. The narrative unfolds with Cynthia and Skyla enjoying their vacation in stylish summer attire, but an onlooker is inspired by Cynthia’s presence, sparking creativity. Completing the finale of this event will reward players with unique artwork, which will also be featured within the story itself.
New Sync Pairs Introducing Summer Styles
With this event, fans can look forward to the introduction of two new Sync Pairs:
Cynthia (Summer 2025) & Milotic: As a Water-type Support Sync Pair, Cynthia and Milotic excel in providing defensive boosts and healing. Their exclusive Trainer Move, Let’s Relax!, raises the Defense and Special Defense of all allies by four ranks while also applying a Gradual Healing effect. Although Cynthia and Milotic become burned as part of this move, their passive skills offer protection against burn damage. Remarkably, when affected by any status condition, they gain an additional 50% boost to their Defense and Special Defense, alongside the ability to heal fully just before fainting in battle, making them incredibly resilient.
Additionally, their Peak Summer Muddy Water Buddy Move allows them to attack all opponents, lowers the target’s accuracy, and randomly enhances one of their allies’ stats—be it Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness. This move can be triggered while they are under a status condition like burn, showcasing their versatility in battle.
Skyla (Summer 2025) & Jumpluff: This Grass-type Sprint Sync Pair takes on the role of a Strike unit. Their passive abilities enable them to significantly boost their capabilities the first time they use a status move in battle. They can reduce their sync move countdown by two, enhance their Special Attack by four stat ranks, and boost their critical-hit rate by three ranks. By using their Sunny Day move, they can activate these effects quickly.
Their Sunny Solar Beam Buddy Move can be executed after using any move once, streamlining their attack. When the weather is sunny, they can skip the preparation period of this move, allowing for a swift strike. This attack not only never misses but also reduces the target’s Special Defense and Speed, creating a potent offensive strategy. Pairing this move with their To the Skies! Trainer Move will further amplify their attack power and reduce the sync move cooldown.
Other Engaging Events
In early July, players can look forward to the return of the Exciting Treasure Hunt Story Event, featuring Gardenia and Acerola embarking on another treasure-seeking adventure. Additionally, a High Score Event will take place, focusing on Water and Psychic-type Pokémon. Players can earn rewards based on individual and collective scores from gym missions, encouraging teamwork to achieve goals.
App Enhancements Coming Soon
Starting June 30, 2025, players will have the opportunity to invite Leon to the Trainer Lodge as a guest. To do this, you’ll need to team up with him and his Charizard first. However, it’s important to note that Leon and Charizard will not be included in a Sync Pair Scout at this time, so players will need to be patient for their return. Also, keep in mind that teaming up with Arc Suit Leon and Charizard will not allow you to invite Leon to the Trainer Lodge.
An exciting update allows players to utilize multiple Battle Rally Passes when participating in the Battle Rally. The points earned will be multiplied according to the number of passes used, providing a quick way to maximize rewards, especially for players with limited time.
Future Developments on the Horizon
The development team is making steady progress on the Beginner’s Guide Missions as well as new permanent battle content. Players can expect these updates to roll out in about a month, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

Fans can anticipate the next message from the development team in late July, where they will reveal information about new Sync Pairs and events coming in August. The team is dedicated to continually improving the Pokémon Masters EX experience, ensuring that player feedback is a core part of the development process.
