This film will be a monumental cinematic event that combines the final chapters of the beloved Attack on Titan anime series into one grand presentation, set to hit theaters in early 2025. This thrilling cinematic experience will be co-produced by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, although specific release dates have yet to be disclosed.

In the gripping narrative of Attack on Titan, humanity has long been sheltered behind vast walls designed to protect them from monstrous beings known as Titans. However, this fragile peace is shattered when a Titan breaches the city, leaving young Eren Yeager motherless and igniting a fierce desire for vengeance against these creatures. As the story unfolds, Eren joins the Survey Corps and acquires a unique power that unveils chilling truths about his world.

After pushing beyond the walls and becoming separated from his allies, Eren is driven by newfound revelations, leading him to devise a catastrophic plan called the “Rumbling.” This terrifying initiative aims to wipe out every living being on the planet. As the world hangs in the balance, an eclectic group of Eren’s former friends and foes must team up to put an end to his dangerous crusade. The crucial question remains: can they succeed in stopping him?

This iconic anime series is adapted from the critically acclaimed manga by Hajime Isayama, which debuted in 2014 and concluded in Fall 2023 after four seasons. Attack on Titan has earned accolades from both fans and critics alike, with three of its seasons achieving an impressive 100% critic score and over 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, the series has secured the #23 spot on IMDb’s list of the top 250 TV shows, as rated by users.

The omnibus film will feature direction by Yûichirô Hayashi, with character designs crafted by Tomohiro Kishi. The artistic direction is under the capable hands of Kuniaki Nemoto, while chief animation direction is led by Daisuke Niinuma. Editing will be managed by Masato Yoshitake, and the film’s music will be composed by the talented duo KOHTA YAMAMOTO and Hiroyuki Sawano. This ambitious project is animated and produced by MAPPA, a studio known for its high-quality productions.
